Saint Peter’s Catholic Church
was built in the 1930s, but you wouldn’t know it from its grubby white tile exterior, which looks out on the Chongqing Lu elevated road just down the street from the Sinan Mansions complex. Inside, on the third floor, however, is a beautiful mosaic ceiling, stained glass windows and 16 oil paintings – like film stills – depicting the crucifixion.Saint Peter’s Catholic Church Third Floor, 270 Chongqing Nan Lu, near Hefei Lu, Huangpu district (6467 0199; firstname.lastname@example.org).
