Hi Time Out readers, I'm Barbie, a lovely little lady looking for a forever home. At just five kilos, I'm gosh darn adorable... and look at these foxy ears. For real, am I way too squeezable or what?
It's been more than six months now since I was abandoned in a garden at a very busy intersection in Hongkou district. It took three days for my rescuers to save me from that dangerous spot, because I just wanted my family to come back for me. I waited five whole days them to return... but they never did.
My rescuers took me to safety at Shenkang vet hospital in Pudong. I was pretty bummed out at first, but now I've blossomed into a very loving and playful dog. I'm vaccinated, dewormed, de-flead and all kinds of healthy!
Now, I have to admit, I really prefer women – I just get so very attached to the ladies! Between you and me, I was abused before, and that makes me kind of cautious around men. But I like to stay positive, so truth be told, I would love to be part of any family, as long as they can be a bit patient and understanding of my needs. I just want to be loved forever and ever and never left alone again.
If you are seriously interested in adopting me, you can contact my friend Alejandra Vasquez Delama, who's a volunteer at Paw Pals Animal Rescue (PPAR) via the information below.
PPAR is a wonderful non-profit animal rescue group who focus on finding loving homes for homeless fluffs like me. You can also find out about my many other friends who need homes and foster parents!
