Storm Festival tickets go on sale this week

Chemical Brothers rumoured to be among headliners

Storm Festival will be back for 2017
As we mentioned in our Concrete and Grass Festival post earlier this week, Shanghai-founded EDM festival Storm is taking the fight to international newcomer Ultra this autumn by returning to Shanghai International Music Village in Pudong for the weekend of September 23-24.

Tickets for Storm are due to go on sale this week, with early-bird passes available from 10am on Thursday 10 August. If you've signed up for Storm's membership scheme, they'll cost just 480RMB for two days; if you haven't they'll be 580RMB - but for both there's only a very limited number on offer. Miss those and you can look for marginally more expensive pre-sales on this very site, likely from next week.

We already know that Ultra has Armin Van Buuren, Zedd, Martin Garrix, Nicky Romero, Dubfire, Carl Cox, The Chainsmokers and more lined up for their festival, so who are Storm bringing in?

Well, officially we don't know just yet - the line-up hasn't been announced - but of course that hasn't stopped Shanghai's rumour mill churning out some interesting names. A long-whispered about Mainland China debut for Chemical Brothers is reportedly on the cards according to some, while the likes of KYGO, Marshmello, UZ, Axwell Ingresso, Mija and Laidback Luke have also had their monikers mentioned in relation to the event on the WeChats and the Weibos.

How much of that supposed bill will turn out to be true? Keep your eyes on Time Out for the really real confirmed Storm Festival 2017 line-up as soon as we get it - and check in on Time Out Tickets next week to get your hands on passes to this year's fest.
