Shanghai's annual open-air cinema is back with 208 film screenings running from now all the way through the end of September. Organised by the Shanghai Landscaping & City Appearance Administrative Bureau, 26 parks (including Jingan Park and Xiangyang Park) will be taking part in weekly free screenings in 16 different districts all over the city.

The films include Wonder (2017), Chinese sci-fi blockbuster The Wandering Earth (2019), survival drama film The 33 (2015), comedy action film Detective Chinatown 2 (2018) and action-packed battle film Wolf Warriors 2 (2017). The full line-up and schedule can be found in Chinese here.

And if you still don't know how to sort your rubbish, sessions on the city's new garbage-sorting rules will also be part of the screening events, according to SHINE.
