, Shanghai is stepping up its efforts to control the influx of the disease from abroad.
reports that as of Monday 23 all incoming arrivals are now required to undergo testing for COVID-19. Originally, this policy only applied to select countries that had been heavily hit by the virus (regardless of the individual’s nationality), but now the policy applies to any and all arrivals. Shanghai’s Health Commission has sent nurses to assist customs officers with the process of taking samples.
