Popular and authentic curry house Indian Kitchen has closed three of its Shanghai branches.

The shuttered locations include the Jinqiao, Hongmei Lu and Surpass Court spots, with only Pudong's Minsheng Lu restaurant staying open.

The restaurants won't be closed for long however as the management have indicated that they plan to reopen in April as a Malaysian restaurant. Keep following Time Out Shanghai for more updates.

In their absence head to Kebabs on the Grille in the Cool Docks or Masala Art on Dagu Lu,which serves up our favourite chicken tikka in town. Or let us know what's your favourite Indian restaurant in the comments below.
