As the year draws to a close, Pudong Shangri-La, Shanghai successfully concluded its iconic annual event—the 2025 Charity Santa Run. A treasured tradition of the hotel's festive season, the Charity Santa Run has now been held for ten consecutive years since its inception in 2015. For the past 27 years, Pudong Shangri-La, Shanghai has been dedicated to corporate social responsibility, partnering with hospitals on long-term charitable initiatives to provide financial support for children in need.
The run is organized to raise funds, with all proceeds donated in full to support children with leukemia at the Children's Hospital of Fudan University, bringing them warmth and hope. Concurrently, the hotel aims to promote a healthy lifestyle and celebrate the season together with guests in the Lujiazui area.
The event was brimming with festive cheer. The scenic 5-kilometer route connected iconic Shanghai landmarks including the Oriental Pearl Tower, the Bund, Jin Mao Tower, Shanghai Tower, and Shanghai World Financial Center. Participants enjoyed the early winter scenery along the Huangpu River, admired the modern skyline of Pudong and the historical architecture of the Bund, immersing themselves in the charm of the city's landmarks. Beyond individual runners, the participation of many families and international friends added a diverse and inclusive dimension to the event, creating a joyous and vibrant atmosphere. Participants showcased their creativity with a dazzling array of colorful, festive Christmas outfits. Awards were presented not only to the winners of the 5-kilometer race but also for the Best Dressed Gentleman, Lady, and Family.
This year, the event raised a total of RMB 75,990 for children with leukemia at the Children's Hospital of Fudan University. The hotel is committed to continuing this meaningful tradition and contributing further to its corporate social responsibility endeavors.
