Pared down chic bike bar on Yongkang Lu
The concept behind new Yongkang Lu bike-themed bar is simple – quality imported beer for bike nuts – much like Fuxing Xi Lu’s Bikes and Friends.
Beers are listed on a chalk board offering bottled imports from all-over: Chimay Blue (55RMB), Rogue IPA (40RMB) and Rochefort 8 (50RMB), plus a couple of taps (Stella/40RMB, Chimay/50RMB). Tap prices drop by 10RMB during happy hour, 3-8pm daily. Wine and standard cocktails are available too and they don’t mind if you bring your pizza from Peppone’s next door.
The decor’s pared down and industrial with dismembered bike parts hanging from the walls. Watch out for the seats though, made from Forever saddles (think those at Cuivre) they can get a bit a wobbly.
