Jimmy’s Kitchen was first opened by a retired US serviceman in Shanghai in 1924. After closing in 1948, it’s now back in a classic dining room in the Jinjiang Hotel, serving a menu made up of old school Continental classics.

Think lobster bisque (68RMB), baked escargots in garlic herb butter (118RMB), beer-battered fish and chips (168RMB) and a gorgeous corn-fed chicken kiev (148RMB) that oozes garlic, as well as prime steaks (308RMB for a New York cut striploin) and classic desserts like bread and butter pudding (58RMB). At lunch, you can get two courses for 128RMB or three courses for 158RMB, both including coffee.
