The second semi-permanent exhibition from the Centre Pompidou × West Bund Museum Project brings 160 works from the Centre Pompidou of Paris to Shanghai. From the art of the 20th century that revolutionised art forms to works of our present time that question the increasingly globalised world, the first part of the exhibit presents avant-garde works from Cubism to Dadaism to Surrealism through chronological order (expect installations from Marcel Duchamp, visual works from Man Ray, paintings of Bernard Buffet, photographic works by Herbert Bayer and a series of modern designs) while the second part introduces art movements such as Pop Art, New Realism and Fluxus with a focus on their relationships with consumer society.
