Weekly fluff: Adopt the world's most patient cat

This week, meet Qiu, long-term shelter resident

Hello Time Out readers! I'm Qiu, and it would only be fair to describe myself as an extremely cute and affectionate cat. Basically, I like everyone – people, kids, other cats – I don't discriminate. I'm pretty much the perfect pet for those of you who are looking for an 'equal opportunity' kitty friend.

I know, I look good in that tie, right?

I was rescued from the Shanghai metro in 2010, and I've been living in the shelter ever since. But I don't let it get me down, I know the right family is out there for me! But seriously guys, seven years is a long time, and I so badly want to live in a real home.

Now, even though I am super friendly, achingly handsome and oh-so-snuggly, I haven't been adopted. Sadly, a couple of years ago my caretakers at Paw Pals Animal Rescue found out that I am FIV positive, and I think that scares people. But the truth is, I can lead a totally normal, lively and lovely cat life!

See, here's me with my feline crew...

I'm a completely healthy buddy and I'm even treated for fleas and worms, and vaccinated and neutered. So if you're like me and don't discriminate, and don't care that I'm FIV positive, please adopt me!. A loving, permanent home would change my life, and I'll change yours!

If you want to adopt me, please contact our rescuers at Paw Pals Animal Rescue (PPAR) via the information below. It's a wonderful non-profit animal rescue group that focuses on finding loving homes for homeless cats likes me! The team there can also give you information about fostering or adopting my other cat and kitten friends, too. But you should totally pick me.
