JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Shanghai Pudong held an Earth Hour
Activity on March 22, calling on the public to pay attention to climate change
through actions such as switching off lights, cycling energy relay and healing
concerts to support Earth Hour 2025. The hotel joined supporters in more than 190 countries and territories in
turning off external and unnecessary lights at 8:30 p.m. local time to help
demonstrate the power of collective action for our future and the planet's.

This year, JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Shanghai Pudong has launched a series of initiatives in support
of "Give an Hour for Earth," including dimming and turning off non-essential
lighting inside and outside the hotel for an hour, cycling energy relay and healing concerts, striving toward the global common goal of "zero
carbon and improving nature by 2030." With the unique advantage of being adjacent to the riverside cycling path, JW
Marriott Marquis Hotel Shanghai Pudong, a Bicycle- friendly hotel, has always
been a favorite of cycling enthusiasts. This activity creatively integrated the “Green Cycling Energy Relay” action into the concept of sustainable development
and stored power for the evening healing concert. At 8:30 p.m., while the lights were turned off, the hotel held a “candlelight
healing concert” in the JW Marriott brand's iconic JW Garden. Passing on the
concept of environmental protection and inviting people from all walks of life
to join hands and light up this meaningful healing concert, JW Marriott hoped
this would raise public awareness and attention to sustainable development.

Alfred Gao, General Manager of JW Marriott
Marquis Hotel Shanghai Pudong, said: “We are proud to participate in Earth Hour 2025. This event
demonstrated our strong commit99ment to environmental protection and created an
interactive space for staff and guests to learn more about the hotel's
sustainable operations. We will continue to follow the guidelines of the
group's sustainability and social impact platform, ‘Serve 360,’ consistently
uphold environmental protection as an important corporate social
responsibility, strive to make a positive impact on our communities, and better
serve the world.” JW Marriott Marquis
Hotel Shanghai Pudong calls on more people to pay attention to environmental
protection and demonstrate their care for the earth with actions. Join us in
“Give an Hour for Earth.” Turn off the lights to ignite hope and build a better
future together. “Celebrating Earth
Hour aligns with Marriott International’s sustainability & social impact
platform, Serve 360, and climate
action program, and reflects a philosophy we aim to practice year-round that we all must do our
part to ‘do good in every direction.’ It is also an excellent opportunity to
spread the word and educate associates and guests about Serve 360 and its next-generation
goals which will guide our efforts
through 2026.”
