Heritage by Madison passed away suddenly yesterday morning. The young chef was a fixture in Shanghai’s food world, with every venue he touched – Madison, Madison Kitchen, Union Trading Company, Birds of Paradise, to name only a few – raising the city’s culinary bar over the years. His generous spirit and pure love of food shone through at every turn, whether to those he personally knew or simply diners at his restaurants. The city has lost a legend.
