A trip to the lavender fields in southern France may be out of the question for now, but Provence lavender is in full bloom at the Shanghai Lavender Park near Disneyland. The floral wonderland is home to the fourth Shanghai Lavender Festival which opened to the public last week.

A five minute’s walk from exit number three of Disney Resort metro station, the park has more than 60,000sqm of blooming lavender and a ten-metre long flower wall made of 100,000 roses to get your camera rolling. A 20,000sqm lawn allows you to pitch up tents, have a picnic and even pet some alpacas, piglets and ponies.

There's also a pop-up coffee shop and workshop for decorating photo frames with dried lavender flowers or making lavender-scented soap, sachets and more. Plenty of other lavender items are also available.

Since the park has restricted its daily capacity to 30 percent, you need to pre-register with the Youshanghai mini programme (you can do it by extracting the QR code below) before making a purchase of the tickets. A valid ID (or passport) and a green Shanghai Health QR are necessary for entry.
