A nautical-themed American Cajun seafood chain, The Boiling Crab has been serving up buttery king crab, juicy shrimp and rich mussels in boil bags, shaken and coated in a spice of choice (lemon pepper, garlic rub and Rajun Cajun) for the better part of two decades.

Founded in California by a Texan fisherman, the restaurant opened its first international outpost last in Xintiandi summer. The sprawling space sticks loyally to the signature beach shack-theme with all sorts of seaside paraphernalia – think lifebuoys, fishing nets and life-sized great white shark models – and has a large patio great for incoming warmer weather.

The restaurant stays open until 2am every day with a late-night dining deal that will get you 32 percent off live seafood after 10pm. Plus, draft beers and select cocktails are buy-one-get-one-free all day long from Sunday to Thursday (or from 2-7pm on Fridays and Saturdays).

Craving some Cajun? The Boiling Crab is giving two Time Out readers a 500RMB food voucher (don't sleep on the sole with Cajun fries or fried calamari).
