Opened in May 2017, the Shanghai Expo Museum is dedicated to showcasing the history and heritage of World Expositions. Its eight permanent exhibition halls tell the story of expos from when the first event opened at London's Crystal Palace up to the most recent occasion in Milan. The museum complex also houses a research institute, a library, a cinema, and a service area.
