The second coming of one of old Yongkang Lu's originators, the relaxed lounge at the second
Le Cafe des Stagiaires shows more subtle attention to detail, studied handiwork and imagination than its now defunct older sibling but with lots more space. The egg cartons on the roof remain but the resumes in the bathroom do not (and neither does the postured service – it’s more perky here).
There’s a solid wood central bar, comfy sofas at the back and a tall, standing island table at the front. Drinks are more varied, with a by-now pretty familiar selection of bottled Belgians plus other reasonably priced wines and beers.
