Latin-themed restaurant-lounge UNÏCO, located on the second floor of Three on the Bund, was designed and co-founded by French-Argentinean artistic director Marcelo Joulia and 'serial entrepreneur' Olivier Chouvet. It's now established as one of the premier dining and nightlife spots on the Bund, promising not only a chance for clubbers to see and been seen but also an impressive musical programme from the worlds of Latin and jazz to electro, nu soul and disco.
Every Tuesday there's live Cuban and Afro-Latin jazz from 'La Reunion', and there are regular weekend nights of Chic 'n' Pop on Fridays (old-school hip-hop, electro, nu soul and disco) and Electropical on Saturdays (world beat and electronic). Every now and then they bring in a top international act - the likes of Questlove, Nile Rodgers, Gilles Peterson and Louie Vega have all appeared in the past.
