Despite the name, they’re not brewing their own beers at Daga’s two branches, but they do offer a great selection of craft beers in bottle and on tap. The newer Fuxing Lu branch (just a few doors down from Boxing Cat – see below) is a favourite in warmer weather thanks to an open-fronted groundfloor bar and two roof terraces, including a large space up among the trees; the original Taian Lu outlet meanwhile is a great spot to hunker down with a jug of ale during Shanghai’s colder months. Expect to pay 50-60RMB for most beers, with Chinese breweries such as Harvest Brewery (Chengdu), NB Brewery (Beijing) and Tangshan Brewery (Nanjing) represented.
