Launched by Shanghaimonthly.info and the Chabrol Café, this shoebox-sized café in Jingan Villas houses a mini working library, complete with reading tables and membership cards.
While the bulk of the library consists of Chinese language literature, they currently stock around 400 foreign language books, of which around half are in English.
Membership costs 100RMB/month and 806RMB/year, and allows you to borrow three or six books at a time, respectively. They also run weekly film screenings and literary talks which are free for members, or 20RMB for non members.
