The below write-up was based upon MYST's original Jingan location. As of January 2018 they've relocated to near People's Square; the new spot has similar vibes though so we've left the original description for reference.
MYST bears many hallmarks of other massive Shanghai clubs – the main room features Champagne-weighted tables dominating the central area – yet manages to differentiate itself. The hallway's decor is a total mind-melter; the trippy laser effects boggle the eyes and transport you to a kind of blissed out sci-fi scene. The downstairs bar is a good-sized area playing more ambient dance music than that upstairs, offering a pleasant chill-out or gear-up zone. The MYST team also regularly lines up some of the biggest international names to come to the city, with past bookings like Major Lazer, Alan Walker and Ferry Corsten. A solid choice for those who are after what's come to be known as a classic Chinese mega-club night out.
