Italo is the new gastro lounge combined with a fusion of Italian delicacy, brought to you by the Funka Group. It contains elements of Funkadeli, their Aperitivo bar and restaurant, with a luxurious Milan-inspired design and a menu with items that combines Italy's seafood with an Asian twist, such as their Fresh Burrata & Caponata that's spiced with Sichuan peppercorns and cinnamon. The main chef is Stefan Steinbach, a German-native.
Their Raw Bar holds Oysters, Lobster, New Zealand Clams, Green Lip Mussels, Yellow Fin Tuna Tartare and Salmon Crudo. They also serve pizzas at nine inches, with flavours such as Italo “Margherita” and 48-Hour Slow-Cooked Porchetta and Anchovy.
The drinks menu was made together with Campari Academy Milan. Drinks include Mille Misture, made with ideas taken from Elvezio Grassi’s 1936 mixology bible and Aperitivi, which gives us the Italo Spritz, as well as a Negroni Con Twist series.
The place features 16-seater VIP room for parties. Dine in Italo-disco and house music, or sometimes get spoiled with their DJ performances during special events with their DJ booth in the lounge.
