This 11-branch Cantonese cha canting has a huge menu covering just about every Cantonese classic dish as well as some Hong Kong-style western fusions, such as spam and meat pies. It's popular with a middle-class local crowd of young and old alike, including families and singles, mostly all buried in their smartphones for the inevitable dinner queues that mount up around 6pm.
Despite the queues, service is swift and prices are reasonable. From the vast menu, we like the incredible crispy-skinned chicken wings (58RMB) stuffed fat with juicy prawn meat and the aromatic, spicy and creamy beef curry (58RMB) with tender hunks of meat and perfectly cooked potato; a superb curry sauce which could easily convince you to wolf down two bowls of rice.
