line seven, the Kerry Parkside shopping centre – located next to the Shanghai
New International Expo Centre and the Kerry Hotel
– draws in the crowds thanks to its food court.
Spread across three floors, the mall caters
for all taste buds – from traditional Chinese to flaming-hot Thai, though most
dining options have a western focus. Several terraces, including the pleasant
one at Baker & Spice, surround the leafy first floor patio, while the
second floor dining area overlooks the courtyard through large windows. If
you’re after a quick, healthy fix, the basement is the place to go.
Food and drink aside, Kerry Parkside is
home to big branches of classic high street fashion chains such as H&M and
GAP as well as a range of homeware, lifestyle and specialist shops, including
flower, perfume and cosmetics boutiques. Mums-to-be, babies and young children
are not forgotten either, with most of the second floor dedicated to toy and
clothing shops.
